Hello everyone, welcome to the PromoKitchen podcast. We are a community inspired conversation featuring boundary pushers, rabble rousers, freaks and geeks who are shaking up the $20 BN promotional products industry.
A few weeks ago we started a conversation about RFPs and the role they play in our industry. We tackled everything from how to respond effectively to an RFP to creating a win-win scenario between customer and vendor. We had a tremendous response to the episode so we decided to open up a second chapter.
In this episode, we wanted to dig deeper into this topic by speaking with a former procurement manager at one of the world’s most recognizable companies: Coca Cola.
Joining us in the guest chair today is Marc Harris, Managing Director of TradeMarc Consulting International. Marc provides senior level executive consulting services for consumer product industry clients with an emphasis on strategic marketing procurement, supply chain management and sourcing of marketing services, including promotional products.
Prior to starting TradeMarc, Marc worked at The Coca-Cola Company from 1997 to 2016. In his last role as a Senior Procurement Manager, he executed strategic marketing procurement and productivity initiatives to enhance return on investment and increase compliance of the trademarked promotional products and point of sale materials categories.
Marc has over two decades of progressive experience in the procurement and marketing of merchandise materials with emphasis in strategic planning, supply chain, licensing, retail and promotional program execution. He has developed and managed a wide variety of consumer products and categories marketed through diverse platforms with accountability of $500 million annual volumes and $35 million in procurement value.
Marc has spoken at numerous PPAI events and comes by way of an introduction from Marsha Londe from Tango Partners, a promotional product industry consultant focusing on helping companies navigate RFPs.
